Emmetts Mill, Chobham

About This Project

The site known as Emmetts Mill incorporates a period property set in 3 ½ acres of land designated as Green Belt, and is located close to the desirable Chobham Village in Surrey. The site itself has the River Mill Bourne running through the site and has stunning countryside open views to the northern, southern and western boundaries.

The existing mill building was erected in 1701 and consists of three storeys, built in brick with a tiled roof over.

Over recent years the site and property had become in a state of poor condition and in much need of repair and re-development. The clients brief was to re-develop the existing mill property and associated outbuildings, and by way of extensions and alterations unleash its potential as a stylish home in this desirable living area, whilst maintaining the historic features of the building to preserve its original design concept.

The construction of the building re-used historic design features of the original building and was subject to exceptional craftsmanship in its restoration.
